If you’re an NFL betting aficionado that likes bold predictions, then you’ve most definitely come to the right place! I’ve got five, fun-filled and definitely bold predictions that will both entertain and assist you in your quest for betting success as you get set for the upcoming slate of Week 9 NFL Betting Action. Okay, with that said, let’s get down to business.
Mack Gets Up Close and Personal With Monster Game in Buffalo
The Buffalo Bills are a complete and utter mess that averages a league-low, 10.8 points per game. The Bills have been held to 13 points or less in each of their last five games and six points or less in each of their last two. Buffalo can’t run the ball consistently or pass it effectively, mostly because their offensive line is terrible. That leads me to believe that Bears superstar linebacker Khalil Mack is going to get up close and personal with Josh Allen, Derek Anderson or for heaven’s sake, not Nathan Peterman. I’m predicting Mack finishes Sunday’s game against Buffalo with an eye-opening stat sheet that features three sacks, one interception, and one forced fumble. I’m sorry, but if I’m one of Buffalo’s quarterbacks, I’m increasing my life insurance prior to this matchup!
Winston Benched – For One Half
It’s funny, I started making my predictions for the week on Sunday night and by the time Monday rolled around, Jameis Winston was benched in favor of veteran journeyman Ryan Fitzpatrick. However, I’m predicting Winston will see action in the second half after Carolina’s solid defense harasses the hell out Fitzpatrick and forces him into a couple of really costly turnovers. Lest anyone forget, Fitzpatrick is just 50-72-1 as a starting quarterback in the NFL not to mention he’s thrown at least 15 interceptions in a season six times in his career while throwing more interceptions than TD passes in the same season three times. Yeah…I’m thinking the inconsistent Winston will see the field to open the second half against Carolina.
Vance Joseph Fired!
Okay, okay, so I was slightly wrong (so far) with Cleveland’s Hue Jackson getting the ax this weekend while Joseph remains employed in Denver. No matter, there’s still time for John Elway to get his head out of his ass and do the right thing by firing Joseph before the start of Week 9. Joseph is an awful 8-16 in a season and a half with no signs that he’s going to improve – or get the Broncos to start playing better in the near future. Yeah, it’s time for Elway to drop the hammer, but then again, maybe he’ll screw this up like he’s done with several moves since taking over as the President of Football Operations.
Rams Suffer First Loss of Season
The Los Angeles Rams might be a pristine 8-0 heading into their Week 9 mega-matchup against New Orleans, but I’m expecting L.A. to suffer their first loss of the season by losing to Drew Brees and company in a serious thriller. Look, I’m just going to throw it out there right now. I’m fully expecting the Rams and Saints to meet in the NFC Championship game no matter who comes out on top in Week 9 (New Orleans).
Rodgers and Brady Combine For 7 TD Passes
The Packers and Patriots have some pretty mediocre defenses this season and that means that Tom Brady is going to toss four TD passes this coming weekend while Aaron Rodgers tosses three in an effort to help his Packers keep pace against a superior Patriots team. I like the two future Hall of Fame signal-callers to pass for a combined seven Tds this weekend!
