The Indianapolis Colts and Dallas Cowboys will hook up in a huge Week 15 Inter-Conference clash of playoff hopefuls that looks like an absolute thriller just waiting to happen. In two other contests, Russell Wilson and the streaking Seattle Seahawks will look to dispatch the San Francisco 49ers for the second time this season while the Chicago Bears will host the Green Bay Packers in an intriguing NFC North divisional showdown.

The Seahawks are playing their best football of the season at just the right time, having won four straight games including their impressive 21-7 win over Minnesota on Monday night while covering the spread as a 3-point home favorite.
Bobby Wagner blocked a field goal in the fourth quarter to spark Seattle to 18 fourth quarter points and Seattle’s defense shut out Minnesota for three quarters to get the win.
“It’s really about the defense. I loved the way they played, they played so hard and so spirited,” Seattle coach Pete Carroll said. “It was almost poetic after last week’s game that Bobby would get to block the field goal and he pulled it off and did it. That was an incredible play.”
Seattle averages 26.2 points per game (9th) while limiting the opposition to 20.5 points per game defensively to rank a stellar sixth in points allowed.
San Francisco snapped their three-game losing streak by upsetting Denver 20-14 last weekend to cover the chalk as a 3-point home underdog. Nick Mullens passed for 332 yards with two touchdowns and one interception and hooked up with tight end George Kittle seven times for 210 yards and one score in the stunning upset. Kittle ended up four yards shy of Shannon Sharpe’s NFL record by a tight end of 214 receiving yards.
“George had one heck of a day, 4 yards short of the record. You can blame that on me, I guess,” Mullens said.
The Niners average 21.2 points per game (24th) while allowing 26.9 points per game defensively (27th).
Prediction
I’m a bit stunned that Seattle is just a 5.5-point favorite in this contest despite being on the road. Seattle is playing outstanding football right now and they smacked San Francisco senseless in their 43-16 just two weeks ago to cover the spread as a 10-point home favorite.
Russell Wilson and company have gone 4-0 ATS in their last four road games, 6-0-1 ATS in their last seven games against their NFC counterparts and 5-1 ATS in their last six games following an SU win. On the flip side of the coin, San Francisco has gone 1-4 ATS in their last five games following an ATS win, 1-6 Ats in their last seven home games against a team with a winning road record and 0-5 ATS in their last five games against their NFL rivals.
With Seattle going 11-2-1 ATS in the last 14 meetings and the favorite going 5-2-1 ATS in the last eight meetings, I say the handwriting is on the wall. Seattle wins and covers.
Predicted Score: Seattle Seahawks 31 | San Francisco 49ers 21

Dallas stayed red-hot by beating Philadelphia 29-23 in overtime on Sunday to move to 5-0 SU and ATS over their last five games. Dak Prescott passed for 455 yards and three touchdowns and wide receiver Amari Cooper caught 10 passes for 217 yards and all three of Prescott’s TD passes, including the game-winner on a 15-yard strike with 1:55 remaining.
“I knew I had the slant route there, but I knew he would sit on it,” Cooper said. “I tried to sell the fade. It didn’t really work, but I just stayed with the ball and there you have it.”
Dallas averages 21.2 points per game (23rd) while limiting the opposition to just 18.9 points per game defensively (2nd).
Indianapolis picked up a fantastic 24-21 win over Houston last weekend to cover the chalk as a 4-point road dog, snap Houston’s nine-game losing streak and improve to 6-1 over their last seven games. Andrew Luck continued his jaw-dropping campaign by passing for 399 yards with two touchdowns and one interception while T.Y. Hilton has nine catches for 199 yards.
“Once we got that first one, it was like, `OK, here we go,” Luck said. “When T.Y.’s in the zone, he’s in a zone, man. It’s fun to play with him and it’s an honor to play with him.”
Indianapolis averages 26.8 points per game (8th) while allowing 23.1 points per contest defensively (15th).
Prediction
Dallas is playing some fantastic football, but so is Indianapolis, so this one looks like a thriller just waiting to happen. Having said that, I’m going to back Andrew Luck and the Indianapolis Colts to cover the spread in a shootout. While Dallas has gone 4-0 ATS in their last four games following an SU and ATS win, Indianapolis is also 4-0 ATS in their last four games against a team with a winning record and 16-5-1 ATS in their last 22 home games against a team with a winning road record. Indy has the edge on offense, but the Cowboys have the better defense. I’m expecting the difference in this one to be Andrew Luck – it’s that simple!
Predicted Score: Dallas Cowboys 23 | Indianapolis Colts 24
Green Bay Packers at Chicago Bears

Green Bay managed to snap their three-game losing streak by beating reeling Atlanta by 34-20 last weekend to cover the spread as a 4-point home favorite. Aaron Rodgers passed for 196 yards and two touchdowns in the win while running back Aaron Jones rushed for 78 yards and another score in the win while building a 34-7 lead heading into the final quarter that they would never relinquish.
“It feels good,” Rodgers said. “Like I said in the locker room (to the team), Joe’s (Philbin) been a part of a lot of great wins around here. A lot of incredible moments over the years as an important part of what we’ve done, as the offensive coordinator. But it’s fun to give him his first win as the head coach.
Green Bay averages 24.2 points per game (15th) while allowing 23.6 points per contest defensively (17th).
Chicago bounced back stupendously from their Week 13 loss against the Giants by beating the Rams 15-6 on Sunday night to cover the spread as a 3-point home underdog. The Bears improved to 6-1 over their last seven games by shutting down L.A.’s potent offense.
“Our play on defense — all I can say is wow,” coach Matt Nagy said. “For them to go out and do it (against) a team that had only one loss all year long … is so powerful for our guys now because it helps us grow,”
Chicago picked off Rams quarterback Jared Goff a career-high four times and linebacker Eddie Goldman recorded a key safety on the gifted signal-caller. The Bears average 27.6 points per game (7th) while limiting the opposition to just 19.0 points per game defensively (3rd).
Prediction
I’m going to get right to the point by saying that I’m a bit surprised that Chicago is just a 5.5-point favorite in this contest but for me, it just makes them a more attractive pick in this NFC North divisional battle.
Green Bay is 1-5 ATS in their last six games against their NFC North division rivals, 1-6-1 ATS in their last eight road games and 0-4-1 ATS in their last five games following an ATS win. On the flip side of the coin, Chicago is a perfect 5-0 ATS in their last five games against their division rivals, 6-1 ATS in their last seven games and an impressive 16-5-1 ATS in their last 22 home games.
Sure, Green Bay is 16-5 ATS in their last 21 road games against Chicago, but now the Bears are the better team by far on both sides of the ball by and they’re playing at home against a hated division rival. I like the Packers to win this one by at least a touchdown to cover the chalk.
Predicted Score: Green Bay Packers 28 | Chicago Bears 20
