It’s the final week of the NFL regular season and our last opportunity to get some parlay tickets up and running. We will, of course, be looking at the playoff match-ups next week, but for now, we are going to focus on Week 17 of the season. All told, we are putting together a trio of parlay tickets covering SU, ATS, and O/U selections, but you are free to mix and match these picks as you see it. Without further ado, let’s get right to the action.
NFL Week 17 ATS Parlay
The Philadelphia Eagles have made an amazing run to end the season, a winning streak that has kept their playoff hopes alive into the final weekend of the season. They are a 7-point favorite against the injury-ravaged Washington Redskins this Sunday, and while a win does not guarantee the Eagles a playoff spot, I think they do their part by winning and covering.
In order for the Eagles to get into the postseason, they need to win and hope that the Minnesota Vikings slip up at home to the Chicago Bears. The Bears have already booked their playoff spot and look destined for the #3 seed, so they have very little to play for. That said, I still think they cover as a 4 ½ point underdog.
The LA Chargers can still go ahead and win the West, clinching a first-round bye in the process, but besides winning as a 6 ½ point favorite against Denver, they also need the Raiders to beat the Chiefs. I’, not so sure the latter part happens, but I do like the Chargers to win and cover.
NFL Week 17 SU Parlay
The Houston Texans may well have blown their opportunity to get the #2 seed in the AFC with their loss to the Eagles last weekend, but stranger things have happened. They can put some pressure on the Patriots by getting the win over Jacksonville this weekend, which I believe they will do.
Last season, the NFC South sent 3 teams into the postseason, but this year, the New Orleans Saints will be the sole representatives. While the game between the Atlanta Falcons and Tampa Bay Buccaneers is meaningless, it still represents a chance to make some money, which I think we can do by taking the Falcons to win SU.
Let’s close out this parlay ticket with a bit of a risky one, but one that you’ll get at a great price. It may seem hard to believe, but the Cleveland Browns can finish the season with a winning record if they can take care of the Ravens on Sunday. It’s a real longshot, but I am going for it.
NFL Week 17 O/U Parlay
It has been a rough season for the New York Giants, but their offense has come to life over the past few weeks. They might just go off on a Dallas team that could well rest a few of their key players ahead of the playoffs. I think this one easily goes OVER the 41-point total.
You look at what the Detroit Lions have done offensively this season, especially over the last few weeks, and you automatically assume that the under is the best bet. That may not be the case this weekend, though, as 8 of their last 10 meetings with the Packers have gone OVER.
This has been one of the best statistical seasons for Phillip Rivers and the Chargers offense, and I think they finish strong on Sunday against Denver. 4 of the last 5 Chargers visits to Denver have seen the total go OVER, so let’s stick with that.
