Green Bay has lost three of their last four games and comes into this week 12 matchup off a narrow 27-24 road loss against Seattle as a 3-point underdog last weekend in a game that finished Over the 49-point total.
The Packers gave up 173 rushing yards to Seattle and a pair of TD passes to quarterback Russell Wilson to cancel out a fine performance from Aaron Rodgers who passed for 332 yards with two touchdowns and no picks but was sacked five times in the loss. Green Bay’s playoff hopes took a big hit with the loss, but according to their future Hall of Fame quarterback, they’re nowhere near ready to give up.
“Of course there’s hope. Of course, we believe in each other,” Rodgers said. “It’s just going to take one galvanizing moment, whether that’s a speech or a practice or something happens in the game, something’s got to get this thing going.”
Minnesota Vikings
Minnesota has dropped two of their last three games including their humbling 25-20 road loss to Chicago on Sunday night in a game that finished just Over the 44-point total. Kirk Cousins passed for 262 yards with two touchdowns, but he also tossed a pair of costly interceptions in the loss, not to mention he was strip-sacked by Pro Bowl linebacker Khalil Mack.
“It was a balance at times,” Cousins said. “They weren’t necessarily getting a sack, but they were affecting my arm. And at other times the protection was holding up fine and (we) were getting the ball out. I think it was kind of everything across the board. Sometimes, it was a rusher on the edge, sometimes it was a rush inside, it was a game, a stunt, different things.
