The Chiefs rolled all over the Jacksonville Jaguars 30-14 last weekend in a game that finished Under the game’s 48-point O/U total one week after Kansas City played Under a huge 53.5-point total in their 27-23 road win over Denver.
While second-year quarterback Patrick Mahomes failed to throw a touchdown pass for the first time this season while also tossing two interceptions, Kansas City’s defense dominated by picking off Jacksonville’s Blake Bortles four times and sacking him five times with defensive end Chris Jones returning one pick 20 yards for a score.
“It shows what kind of team we are,” said Mahomes. “I’m just excited to come out with a win on a day the defense made plays.”
New England (3-2)
The Patriots schooled Andrew Luck and the Indianapolis Colts in their 38-24 victory on Thursday night as Tom Brady passed for 341 yards and three touchdowns while adding one rushing score in the win. The game’s final score played Over the 49.5-point total one week after the Pats played Under a 50.5-point total in their 38-7 Week 4 smackdown of Miami at home.
Expert Pick and Prediction
Look YouWager NFL betting enthusiasts, while the Kansas City Chiefs are likely going to face some pretty high Over/under total because they’ve shown they can put points on the board in a hurry, it’s wise to be mindful of the fact that some of these total odds are a bit egregious.
With that said, I think oddsmakers did a really great job in setting this total, although I have my final score laying just Under it by the slimmest of margins.

New England has looked fantastic in putting 38 points on the board in each of their last two games, but I like Kansas City for the narrow win in this one. Kansas City has won two of the last three meetings against New England including last season’s 42-27 road win over that Pats. That alone tells me that Andy Reid knows exactly what succeeds and what fails against Bill Belichick. I like the Chiefs in a thriller!
