If you like Over/Under total betting for Sunday Night Football then you’re about to be treated to an expert pick on what promises to be an all-out brawl for it all when Kirk Cousins and the Minnesota Vikings host Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints in a rematch of their memorable ‘Minneapolis Miracle’ playoff matchup from last season.

New Orleans Saints (5-1)
The Saints have won five straight games and come into this contest off a hard-fought 24-23 win over Baltimore last week in which they covered the spread as a 2.5-point road underdog while playing under the game’s 49-point total.
Drew Brees threw for 212 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions while running back Alvin Kamara rushed 17 times for 64 yards and one score. Brees threw the 500th touchdown pass of his career in the win to join Tom Brady and Brett Favre as the only quarterbacks in league history to top that figure.
“It’s a significant benchmark, yet you’re in the middle of the game and you’re not really paying attention to it,” Payton said. “I think, more importantly, it’s the final team he needed to beat.”
New Orleans got the victory when Baltimore kicker Justin Tucker missed a potential game-tying extra point after the Ravens scored with 24 seconds remaining. The Saints have alternated Over and Under outcomes in every game this season.
The Saints are averaging a stellar 34.0 points per game (2nd) while giving up 27.2 points per contest defensively (27th).
Minnesota Vikings (4-2-1)
Minnesota has won three straight including their 37-17 rout over Sam Darnold and the New York Jets on Sunday in a game that finished Over the 45-point total. Veteran quarterback Kirk Cousins completed 25 of 40 passes with two TD passes and no interceptions while running back Latavius Murray rushed 15 times for 69 yards and two scores. Wide receiver Adam Thielen hauled in nine passes for 110 yards and one touchdown to set a new NFL record for consecutive 100-yard receiving performances to start a season. The Pro Bowler caught a 34-yard touchdown in the win as the Vikings topped their O/U total for the third time in four weeks.
“I was just trying to run as fast as I could,” Thielen said. “It was just a straight go ball, and I think [Vikings quarterback] Kirk [Cousins] pretty much caught that ball for me. Just threw it in a perfect spot. If it was an inch left or an inch right, it probably would have been incomplete. He put a perfect ball in there, and [I] just had to try to finish the play as best I could.”
The Vikings are averaging 25.3 points per game (14th) while allowing 23.6 points per contest defensively (14th).
Expert Pick and Prediction
While the Over may look attractive because of New Orleans’ high-scoring ways, I really like the Under 52.5 total points as my pick, but just narrowly. The Under is 6-2 in New Orleans’ last eight games in the month of October and 6-1 in Minnesota’s last 7 home games against a team with a winning road record. Under is also 5-2 in Minnesota’s last 7 home games. I’ve got New Orleans in a thriller with the Under playing out in this one.
