After having their high-powered offense shut down a week ago in a stunning loss, Jared Goff and the Los Angeles Rams will look to put a bunch of points on the board when they host Carson Wentz and the desperate Philadelphia Eagles in an intriguing Week 15 affair that will almost certainly have postseason implications for both teams in this contest.

Philadelphia has been an inconsistent mess all season long. The Birds had their modest two-game winning streak snapped in their 29-23 overtime loss to Dallas last weekend while the game’s final score played Over the 45.5-point total.
Carson Wentz passed for 228 yards and three touchdowns and the Eagles scored 17 fourth-quarter points to get the game to overtime. However, Philadelphia had no answer for the combination of Dak Prescott and Amari Cooper who caught all three of Prescott’s TD passes including the game-winner late in overtime.
“Helpless feeling,” Wentz said. “I’ve got a lot of a lot of confidence in the defense. They were making plays today. We just didn’t do enough early offensively and that cost us.”
Philadelphia averages 21.6 points per game (21st) while allowing 22.7 points per contest defensively (13th). The Eagles have played Under the total in three of their last four games.
• Under is 4-0 in Eagles last 4 games following an ATS loss.
• Under is 6-1 in Eagles last 7 games following a straight up loss.
• Over is 4-1 in Eagles last 5 road games vs. a team with a winning home record.
• Over is 13-5 in Eagles last 18 games in December.
• Under is 5-2 in Eagles last 7 games overall.
Los Angeles Rams
Los Angeles had their high-powered offense – and their three-game winning streak – snapped in their stunning 15-6 loss to Chicago this past weekend while the game’s final score played well under the 51-point total. Chicago’s stout defense harassed quarterback Jared Goff into a career-high four interceptions and held superstar running back Todd Gurley to just 28 rushing yards.
“Really, consistently over and over I continue to put our players in bad spots,” Los Angeles coach Sean McVay said. “Certainly a humbling night, but it’s one you get a chance to look at yourself critically, find a way to get better and move forward accordingly and that’s exactly what we’re going to do and that’s all I know how to do. And I have to be better for our football team. This loss is on me. I didn’t do a nearly good enough job for us today. I trust we will respond the right way.”
Los Angeles averages a stellar 32.7 points per game to rank third in scoring while allowing 24.1 points per contest defensively (18th). The Rams have played under the total in two straight.
• Under is 4-1 in Rams last 5 vs. a team with a losing record.
• Over is 4-1 in Rams last 5 games after accumulating less than 250 total yards in their previous game.
• Over is 6-2 in Rams last 8 games in December.
• Under is 10-4-1 in Rams last 15 games in Week 15.
• Over is 12-5 in Rams last 17 games following an ATS loss.
Expert Pick and Prediction
Los Angeles might have seen their explosive offense get shut down a week ago, but that’s not going to be the case against Philadelphia this coming weekend. With that said, I also believe the Eagles are going to find a way to score their fair share of points as well, even though I just don’t see them beating what looks like a clearly superior Rams team.
The Over is 4-1 in the Rams’ last 5 home games and 7-3 in their last 10 games following a straight up loss. The Over is also 8-0 in Philadelphia’s last 8 games in Week 15 and a seriously consistent 21-6 in their last 27 road games.
I like the Rams to get the ‘W’ but Philly gets the ATS cover in a game that finishes Over the 53.5-point total.
