Green Bay Packers

Green Bay rolled all over beleaguered Miami 31-12 on Sunday to snap a two-game losing streak as Aaron Rodgers passed for 199 yards and two touchdown tosses to Devante Adams while running back Aaron Jones had a huge game with 145 rushing yards and two TDs on just 15 carries.

“We got the run game going. We had a lot more balance, which we hadn’t had all season,” Rodgers said afterward.

The Packers defense picked off Miami’s Brock Osweiler once and forced him to lose one fumble in the win. However, it was Jones’ and Rodgers’ big plays that helped the Pack pull away after going into the half up just 14-9.

“This league has always been about big plays,” coach Mike McCarthy said. “You can’t score points without big plays and you have to make big plays to win the game.”

Seattle Seahawks

Seattle put up a great effort before succumbing late and suffering a narrow 36-31 road loss against the L.A Rams on Sunday. The Seahawks got a fantastic performance from Russell Wilson as he tossed three touchdowns and no picks while rookie running back Rashad Penny added 108 rushing yards and one score on 12 carries. Seattle actually had a chance to win it in regulation but their final drive came up just short.

“I think the whole stadium was nervous on that last drive, (but) it didn’t work out,” Wilson said.

Still, the Seahawks had plenty of positives to take away from their narrow loss, starting with the fact that they rushed for a stupendous 273 yards as a team.

“On this day, we went nose to nose,” Seattle coach Pete Carroll said. “That’s a statement to guys running the football. That’s the whole thing fitting together.”

Expert Pick and Prediction

I’m going to get right to the point by saying that I’m advising you to back Russell Wilson and the Seahawks to hold it down at home in Week 11 to cover the chalk as a 2.5-point favorite. While Seattle averages just a half-point fewer per game than Green Bay does offensively, the Seahawks are the far better defensive team in limiting the opposition to just 21.3 points per contest while the Packers allow 3.5 more points per contest. More importantly, Seattle is playing this contest at home and they’re desperate after dropping two straight to see their playoff hopes take a hit.

Thursday Night Football: Green Bay Packers at Seattle Seahawks Winner

Green Bay dropped two straight before beating the mostly incompetent Dolphins last weekend and I just don’t have a whole lot of faith in the Packers this season. Green Bay is 3-8 ATS in its last 11 games, 0-5 SU in its last five road games and 1-5 ATS in their last six road dates. Seattle is 16-8 SU in its last 24 home games and 4-1 ATS in their last five games. The Seahawks snapped a three-game losing streak to Green Bay in this one.

Predicted Score: Seattle Seahawks 28 | Green Bay Packers 24
