With Ryan Tannehill out of the lineup again for the Miami Dolphins this coming weekend, veteran Brock Osweiler will look to lead his struggling team to the big upset over Deshaun Watson and a Houston Texans team that is on a nice role as we approach the midway mark of the regular season.

Miami Dolphins
The Dolphins got smacked in their 32-21 Week 7 home loss against the Detroit Lions while the game’s final score played Over the 53-point total. Veteran quarterback Brock Osweiler completed 23 of 31 passes for 239 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions while running back Kenyan Drake rushed six times for 72 yards and one touchdown on a 54-yard scamper.
Unfortunately, Miami’s defense didn’t show up and they allowed the Lions to have a bunch of long drives, not to mention the fact that they couldn’t stop Lions rookie running back Kerryon Johnson who rushed for 158 yards on 19 carries. Detroit was forced to punt just once in the win.
“Basically they could do whatever they wanted on that side of the ball,” Miami coach Adam Gase said.
The Dolphins have dropped three of their last four games overall while scoring 21 points or less in each defeat.
Houston Texans
Houston subdued reeling Jacksonville in their 20-7 win against their AFC South division rivals to move to 4-0 over their last four games while playing well under the 43-point total.
Quarterback Deshaun Watson passed for a modest 139 yards and one touchdown, but Houston’s defense showed up in a big way by forcing Blake Bortles to fumble twice and backup Cody Kessler to also lose one fumble while adding an interception. Watson, who is still working his way back from a torn ACL, overcame a battle with a bruised lung and injured ribs.
“Whatever it took to get me down here with my teammates and be able to play and help this team win,” Watson said. “This is bigger than me. I’m a competitor. I love this team so much. And what I’ve been through previously and what we’ve been through leading up to this point, I want to be out there on the field with them and try to win.”
Expert Pick and Prediction
I know both of these teams are offensively -challenged but the Over is 4-1 in Miami’s last five games in the month of October and 6-2 in Miami last eight games after they allow 30 points or more in their previous game. The Over is also 4-1 n Houston’s last five home games against a team with a winning road record and 14-5 in their last 19 games in the month of October.
I’ll agree the Over doesn’t look super attractive for these two teams seeing as how they both often struggle to score, but I’m backing these two teams to top it this coming weekend as they both top the 20-point plateau.
Predicted Score: Houston 28 Miami 20
